Make Your Tongue a Vehicle Of Life And Not Death
Text for Today: Proverbs 10:14-21 “Wise people store up knowledge, but the mouth of the foolish is near destruction.” (vs.14).
Through your mouth you have a great opportunity to determine what flows in and out of your life. Also through it, you determine what stays and what doesn’t stay.
No one has the power to subdue your destiny if you don’t permit it. That is why you will be solely held responsible for the eventual outcome of your life depending on how you use your tongue.
The tongue is one of the blessings of creation that God has empowered for diverse manifestations. However, what God made to be a blessing has become a source of downfall for many due to their inability to manage it with wisdom and caution.
From our text for today, the Bible says, “the mouth of the foolish is near destruction,” thus you must watch it, lest you take yourself down into destruction with your tongue.
An old adage says, “Loose lips sinks ship.” James 3:2 agrees with this, “For we stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able to bridle the whole body”.
Beloved, your tongue is a very small rudder that steers the course of your life. As a covenant child of the Most High, you should be mindful to use your tongue for constructive purposes instead of destructive purposes.
Live your life according to the prescription given in James 1:19, “Be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.” this second half of 2022, if you will be conscious of the words that proceed from your mouth, then you can be rest assured of a safe landing by the time the year comes to an end.
You are a Champion!
