Don’t Just Count Your Blessing; Be The Blessing Other People Count On
Text for Today: Gen. 12:1-9 “I will make you a great nation; I will bless you, And you shall be a blessing.” (vs. 2).
When God blesses you financially, don’t just raise the standard of living, you must also raise your standard of giving and being a blessing to others. This is because when you focus on being a blessing, God makes sure that you are always blessed in abundance so as to fulfill that purpose.
Not what we say about our blessings, but how we use them is the true measure of our thanksgiving. Biblical prosperity is having more than enough for your own needs so that you can supply the needs of others.
In 2 Corinthians, Paul writes that giving is like sowing, and when you sow you should expect a harvest of righteousness. This is not just the righteousness of doing the right thing, but it means taking care of the needs of others and providing for God’s work.
Some wish blessings, other pray for the; however, some send blessings and they become one. Beloved, I want you to know that, one of the greatest tests is when you are able to bless someone else while you are going through your own storm.
The life is full of headaches, make your life a cure to them; where people are discouraged, let your life serve them encouragement. From our text for today, Abraham was told that he would become great in life, but he must become a blessing to others as well, for him to keep and sustain the flow.
Since life is more about making impact, the best way to go about it is to be a blessing to everyone that comes your way.
