DON’T SEE YOURSELF AS A FAILURE NO MATTER HOW TOUGH THE ASSIGNMENT MAY BE (Wednesday, 7th January 2026)
Text for Today: Dan. 2:19-48 “Then King Nebuchadnezzar fell on his face, prostrate before Daniel, and commanded that they should present an offering and incense to him” (vs. 46).
It’s in the DNA of every covenant child to succeed and prosper in whatever he sets out to do, irrespective of the experiences of others. As a covenant child, who is fearfully and wonderfully made, you are designed to excel where others are failing. When you have this understanding, you won’t be scared of attempting any assignment, even after others might have failed on it. From our text for today, Daniel had this understanding and that was why he succeeded even after other wise men had failed. King Nebuchadnezzar had a dream and was troubled by what it might mean. He asked the wise men of the land to interpret his dream.
The servants of the king were not able to neither perceive the contents of the dream nor give interpretation to what it might mean. In anger the king ordered them to be killed. Daniel heard the news that he and the other wise men were to be slain even though he had not even heard of the king’s desire for interpretation. Daniel requested that King Nebuchadnezzar give them a little time. He, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego prayed and asked God to reveal to them the dream and the interpretation of it and while sleeping at night in a vision it was revealed. Before Daniel returned to the king with the answer he thanked God for revealing to them the dream. When he told the king the dream he and his friends were decorated and honoured. As you go through your journey and assignment this New Year, don’t see yourself as a failure no matter how tough the assignment may be.
