GOD IS NOT A MAN; HIS WORDS WILL SURELY COME TO PASS (Sunday, 28th September 2025)
Text for Today: Gen. 15:1-7 “Look now toward heaven and count the stars if you are able to number them” and He said to him, “so shall your descendant be.” (vs. 5).
A song says, “God is not a man, His words will surely come to pass. He will never, never lie.” Whatever God has promised to do will surely come to pass, no matter the route your journey takes in life and how long it may take. Many people give up when it seems to be taking too long for them to possess their possession as promised by God. The incident that happened in Abraham’s life from our text for today must have taken place when Abraham was tired and exhausted after making a great stand for the long waiting for the arrival of the promised child but nothing was forth coming.
I want to believe that Satan must have attacked him with thoughts like “You are just wasting your time old man, by waiting for what is not real,” “What you are expecting has never happened to anyone before” “You will see how people will laugh at you at the end of the day,” “What is the point of this action of God on your behalf when you do not have a child?. Abraham may possibly be fearful until the Lord came to him and gave him these glorious words. Beloved, God is sending these words to you as well even in the face of several difficulties. I charge you to hold on to these promises and great truths. When you are under attack, quickly lift up your voice and remind the devil that you belong to the one whose power is endless and eternal. His promises are ever sure. So, hold on to Him, He will never fail. With just few days to the end of the ninth month of the year, the Almighty shall watch over His word and perform it in your life in the name of Jesus.
