GOD’S INSTRUCTIONS ARE NOT SUGGESTIONS, BE CAREFUL (Sunday, 23rd November 2025)
Text for Today: Gen 3:17-23 “Therefore the Lord God sent him out of the Garden of Eden to till the ground from which he was taken.” (vs. 23).
Wisdom demands that whatever good thing God has given you access to in life is a privilege you must not abuse or mess up. There are many people in life who do not value what they have until they lose it. Many people do not value what they didn’t labour or work for. Such was the case of Adam, who was only brought into the picture after God had finished creating all other things before man. Adam was made the sole administrator of all other creatures, only for him to mess up this rare privilege. The grace and glory of God were with man. Man was complete. They were gods on their own. But a day came that they fell. They failed to keep an instruction given to them by God, and they lost all that God put in their custody.
The day that your enemy has planned for your downfall will not come in Jesus’ name. Beloved, when God gives an instruction, He expects you to execute it. God’s instructions are not suggestions. Wherever you fail to honour God’s instructions, you attract dishonor into your life. Adam and Eve were stripped of God’s glory and became naked. What God never wanted them to see, they began to see. Beloved, when you honour God’s instruction, your weakness becomes covered up. Your eyes are not permitted to see evil. But when you fail to obey His instruction,s your weakness will find you out and you will begin to see evil. The benefit you enjoy from obeying God’s instruction far outweighs the consequences of not obeying them. You won’t fall from glory. Embrace God’s instructions today. Be wise!
