Opening Charge: Whatever you appreciate God for, continue to appreciate.

Core Message

=> If you forget where God is bringing you from, the challenges of today will stop you from giving thanks.

=> You are indebted to God to give Him thanks, for as long as you live. Psalms 150:6; Isaiah 38:18.

=> 1 Thessalonians 5:18.

Three things that prevent some people from giving thanks

1. Pride

=> Pride can dampen the spirit of Thanksgiving by attributing what God is doing to oneself.

=> If you are proud, you won’t be able to give thanks. Micah, the wife of King David, is a perfect example.

2. Sense of Entitlement

=> Some people believe that since they are born again, they have the right to everything.

=> Nobody has the right to their lives; it is God who keeps us alive.

3. Complaining and Murmuring

=> Someone who complains and murmurs a lot will not be able to give thanks.
