WHEREVER YOU END YOUR JOURNEY WILL DETERMINE THE CELEBRATION THAT COMES WITH IT (Wednesday, 8th October 2025)

Text for today – Num. 21: 1 –20 “And the people spoke against God and against Moses: Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness?” (vs. 5)

I have observed during Olympics games and some other athletics events, the kind of celebration given to a Gold Medalist is always different from that silver and bronze medalists. The celebration of the Gold Medalist is always rounded up with the recitation of his or her country’s National Anthem. Beloved, I want you to know that, in the journey of life, your destination determines how your journey will look like. What you are aiming at in life will largely determine the kinds of people, trials and obstacles that come your way. Many times, when we lose patience and give up over our dream, we often forget that our throne is nearer than when we first began the journey.

In Exodus 32, the Israelites had barely finished celebrating their new “imbecile and lifeless god” when the Moses that would not come for forty days appeared. The same was true of Saul. He was yet to be through with the sacrifices when the much-awaited Samuel arrived. When God chooses to lead us round about “Edom”, it is not because His thoughts towards us are evil. He wants us to be patient, to be humbled. Apostle Paul counseled us in Philippians 4:6 –7 not to worry about anything, but in all your prayers, ask God for what you need; always asking Him with a thankful heart. Others may have gotten to their throne ahead of you, I admonish you to keep moving because your throne and medal is quite different from theirs. Humble yourself, be patient under God’s mighty hand, so that God will lift you up in His own good time.

You are a Champion!
