YOU CAN’T TRUST GOD AND LOOSE THE BATTLE OF LIFE (Monday, 23rd February 2026)
Text for Today: 2 Chron. 20:1-22 “Fear not for the battle is not yours but God’s.” (vs. 15b).
God is forever ready to give victory to those who put their trust in Him. Men who don’t know God and trust him are totally ignorant of what He is capable of doing, and can never be a beneficiary of His wonders among men. What can a man ever do successfully in life without the backing of God Almighty. Watch out for whoever claims to be doing anything successfully without God’s involvement, his day of shame and humiliation is just around the corner. Always remember, the spiritual controls the physical. There are many battles in life you dare not confront with the power of the flesh or else you are a dead man. The Bible says in 1 Sam. 2:9 that, “…by strength shall no man prevail.”
Many people have made the mistake of confronting their enemies without asking for God’s backing. Some of them are in the grave today, while some are living corpses as we speak. It is God that fight our battles not us. From our text for today, when three nations rose up against Israel during the reign of King Jehoshaphat, he resisted the temptation of panic but looked up to the Lord for protection against the enemy. He acknowledged the fact that he and his people were helpless and powerless to meet the aggressors. But then the bible says he made a statement “Our eyes are upon you” 2 Chron. 20:12. It was a brilliant and existing prayer point which every child of God must always pray, and God was prompt in answering. You can’t trust God and loose or be defeated. God expects us to depend on Him always.
