Only A Man Who Loses Hope Has No Future
Text for Today: John 5:1-9 “Jesus said to him, “Rise, take up your bed and walk.” (vs. 8).
As long as a man holds on to the key of hope as regards what he is trusting God for, it is certain possibility will happen someday, because hope never fails. Only a man who loses hope has come to the end of the road in life, because nothing good will ever show up in his life.
Job’s hope remained intact, that was why he said in Job 14:14 that, “All the days of my hard service I will wait, till my change comes.” it was not easy for him to wait, but the instrument of hope helped him through, and his change came eventually.
Hope in God is very vital to the end result anyone will get in life, irrespective of series of challenges that may come his way. Men may tell you it is over, but as long as you put your trust in God, something will definitely happen someday.
From our text for today, some people may have told that sick man to go back home and die peacefully after waiting by the pool side for thirty eight years without receiving healing, but the man held on to his hope that something good will happen someday. If he had no hope again, he would have gone back home and no one will need to tell him.
He remained there, though he had no one to help him have access to the pool whenever it is stirred, and lo and behold, his moment of glory came right before everyone. I see God stepping into your life’s affair that men have concluded it was over for you today in the name of Jesus.
Everyone who has witnessed your struggles and pain will behold your glory this second half of 2022 in the name of Jesus.
