A GREAT VICTORY AND TURNAROUND IS SURE WITH GOD (Monday, 27th October 2025)
Text for Today: 2 Sam. 23:8-12 “But he stationed himself in the middle of the field, defended it, and killed the Philistine. So the Lord brought about a great victory.” (vs. 12).
Any man on a journey with God cannot be defeated or conquered. A supernatural turnaround is a divine encounter where God reverses your circumstances, turns the negative into positive, and shifts your thoughts and life to a new direction. From our text for today, the Israelites were under attack and fleeing from the Philistines, but one man saw a supernatural turnaround. Shammah “stationed himself in the middle of the field and defended it… and the Lord brought about a great victory.” Overwhelmed! Outnumbered! Defeat at your doorstep! Now is the time to see a supernatural turnaround. Let us discuss some covenant keys we could see in the life of Shammah, which brought about great victory.
(i) Believe! Shammah believed a turnaround is possible, that was why he didn’t run away like others. You also must believe that turnarounds are possible. You serve the God who turns impossibilities into possibilities. (ii) Take your stand! Shammah took a stand, he made a decision that brought about the turnaround. Plant your feet where God has placed you and stand firm. “And having done all, stand firm” (Ephes. 6.13). (iii) Defend your ground. Shammah stationed himself and defended the field and refused to let the enemies have their way. Do not allow despair to overwhelm you and doubt to undermine your trust. Instead “bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.” (2 Cor. 10.5). May God Almighty turn your life around in a profound and miraculous way as this year goes to an end in Jesus’ name.
