STOP RUNNING TO THE WRONG PLACES FOR JOY (Monday, 22nd December 2025)
Text for Today: Ps. 122:1-9 “I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go into the house of the lord.” (vs.1).
Where there is no joy, misery, anger and frustration will be the order of the day. And no man in life can give what he does not have. Talking about joy, it has only one source, and that source is God Almighty. The only true source of joy is in the presence of the lord. As a child of God, you must know that, there is no place that can guarantee you joy in life more than the one you get each time you appear in Zion. The Bible says “In the presence of God there is fullness of Joy. “Money cannot produce fullness of Joy, your children, husband or wife cannot produce it either, and fullness of joy cannot be gotten from your career or business if God is not involved in it.
Whoever is angry each time it’s time for service in the house of God, has simply sold his heart to the devil. There are many people in the world today who are wealthy in terms of material possession yet do not have joy. Material possession will make you happy but only God can give you true joy. Going to church is a thing of Joy to those who love God. The question now is, are you glad each time you have an opportunity to go to the church? If not, why not? From the text we read today, David said “I was glad when they said to me; let us go into the house of the lord.” The house of God is the place of worship, where we believers gather on Sunday and other days of the week chosen to worship, pray and praise God. Some people attend service in the church once in a week, that day is Sunday. I pray for you today; may you not lose the only guarantor of your joy in the name of Jesus.
