DON’T COMPROMISE YOUR GOOD VIRTUES, IT HAS REWARD (Friday, 30th January 2026)
Text for Today: Gen. 39:7-21 “So it was, as she spoke to Joseph day by day, that he did not heed her, to lie with her or to be with her.” (vs. 10).
For as long as you hold on to good virtue, your dream is intact. There are forces and powers in forms of men and women around you, who will do everything within their powers to make you to derail from your God given purpose and dreams in life. It is now left for you to decide if you will give in to their advances and let go of your dream for life. From our text for today, there was nothing Chief Mrs Portiphar did not do, to scuttle the dream and vision of Joseph, but glory be to God because Joseph stood his ground, though it was painful.
Joseph was put to the ultimate test when she wanted to have an illicit affair with him but he said no. “All your goals will be scattered,” she threatened him, “If you don’t do what I want”. She put enormous pressure on Joseph so that he could break his Godly principles, offering him a better life and the fulfillment of his goals. This tempting conversation did not occur only once, but took place on an ongoing basis, day after day. But Joseph stuck firmly to his morals and beliefs, even though he risked losing his life’s ambition. If Joseph had deserted his firm belief, he would have died as a nonentity and even in the dungeon of life. but at the end of the day, Joseph became his dream. The question is this, “Where was Chief Mrs Portiphar and her husband when Joseph ruled over the land of Egypt”; they were among those who took instructions from him of course. I charge you to accomplish your dream going through the right path.
