DON’T STAY IDLE AND EXPECTS THINGS TO HAPPEN (Monday, 28th September 2026)
Text for Today: 2 kings 7:1-16 “And they arose at twilight to go to the camp of Syrians and when they had come to the outskirt of the Syrian camp, to their surprise no one was there.” (vs. 5).
Those who stay idle and expect things to happen on their own will surely wait forever. The host of heaven has been waiting on many people to take the required steps so as to move into action on their behalf but nothing has happened yet. Many people are unknowingly slowing down their day of visitation because they refused to act on what they claim to believe. There are levels of breakthroughs simply waiting for you to do the right thing or take the right steps before it shows forth. Many people are presently at a crossroad crying and complaining, while the situation just requires a simple action for a change to occur.
Until you act by making up your mind to go extra miles than others, you may not experience any result different from others. Only the man who can act by doing extra-ordinary things that will experience extra-ordinary result in life. Your vision is not enough; it must be combined with force of decision (action). From our text for today, the four lepers took actions after deciding, and the Host of heaven swung into action on their behalf by scaring the Syrians army away from their camp. The steps they took with divine intervention landed them into abundance. David would not allow the discouraging utterances from Saul and his brothers to stop him from fighting with Goliath; He took actions and defeated him. Beloved, if you fail to move, never expect the Host of heaven to do anything on your behalf. You can change or alter the status quo through your action and step of faith.
