A FAKE LIFE IS JUST FOR A WHILE BEFORE IT GETS BLOWN OUT (Sunday, 27th September 2026)

Text for Today: 2 Cor. 13:1-5 “Examine yourself as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves” (vs. 5).

Nothing shall remain hidden forever, time will reveal it when no one expects. If there is anything that is so rampant in the body of Christ today, it’s a life of double standard, whereby what you claim to be in the church is different from who you are at home and in your place of work. It shouldn’t be so for a believer who is desirous of making heaven. The kind of life many people live in church today is simply fake life.  Beloved, I want you to know that, living a fake life is just for a while before it gets blown out and everyone knows who you really are. And when that happens, you become a laughing stock among men, who gets disappointed with the deceitful life you had lived.

As a Christian, the best way not to get your heart broken is not to pretend to be who you are not. In life, it is either you are here or there. There are many unbelievers like Nicodemus in all churches today, who perhaps forget that it is impossible to wear an identity without becoming what they pretend to be. They attend church meetings but they have not truly had encounter with their maker. They know that Jesus is the son of God who died for their sins, they know all about the doctrines of Christianity but they’ve never actually surrendered their lives to Him and invited Him to be Lord and Saviour in the hearts. Stop pretending to be a child of God when you are not one. Many people have gone into the background and stopped going to church because of this error, thus I charge you to live by what you say or teach.
