BE READY TO GO ALL OUT TO PLEASE HIM (Friday, 17th October 2025)
Text for Today: Is. 1:16-20 “Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; Put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes. Cease to do evil,” (vs. 16).
Those who are prepared to go all out in living their lives to please God will always have their expectations satisfied and settled by Him. Whatever demand placed on you by God will always be resisted by the devil and his agents. Is. 1:19 says, “If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land,” and the devil knows this and will not want you to obey God’s instruction so as not to eat the good of the land. Your ability to follow divine instructions gives you an edge and victory over all forms of satanic manipulations that may want to limit you in life. Many people have become victims in the hand of the devil because they failed to comply with divine instructions.
The next hindrance to serving the Lord is, (ii) PERSONAL BURDENS: Personal issues and burdens may threaten and hinder people from effective service. They distract the attention of people from God’s more important priorities. Matt. 11:28-30, 1 Kings 19 2-4, 10. Another hindrance is (iii) FEARS: All of us have some form of personal insecurity and inadequacy but if we decide to wait until we are perfect, we would never serve. The fear of failure, the fear of looking foolish, the fear of what people would say or think of us may hinder us from serving. Truly, some of our fears are rooted in insufficient experience. If so, it is better to start small and build on it. May the Lord help us to identify and root out our fears in Jesus name to something that is harmful or depreciative. It is difficult to serve the Lord effectively when we compromise or entangled to sin. (Rom. 12:1).
