BEING LET DOWN BY THE PEOPLE YOU LOVE SHOULD NOT END YOUR JOURNEY (Friday, 14th August 2026)

Text for Today:  Ex. 2:11-15 “Then he said, “Who made you a prince and a judge over us? Do you intend to kill me as you killed the Egyptian?” (vs. 14).

A man that will make God happy and fulfill his purpose on earth must be a man who will make up his mind to keep doing that which is good no matter what men may say or do against him. Beloved, you need to know that it is not everyone you come across in life that will appreciate and commend your good deeds no matter what it costs you. Life could be more frustrating when those you have helped before suddenly turned against you. This is the scenario in which Moses found himself from our study for today. His benevolent mediation in this strife, though made in the kindest and mildest manner, was resented.

How strange does it sound? Emotional rejection can hit us at any time in life. This form of rejection hurts more, especially, when it comes from among our family members, friends or church members. When you think they were on your team but rejected you, the wound becomes so deep. According to history, Winston Churchill, who led Britain to victory against Germany, was rejected by the very people he had helped to save. He had pulled them together as a nation, and then with victory in hand, they turned against him. Beloved, note this; Moses was wounded, Churchill was wounded, Jesus was wounded and perhaps you have also been wounded. Maybe you have experienced a setback that has sent you reeling. You may be feeling that there is no recovery from your circumstances. I like you to know today that, the story has just started, it can’t finish until you prevail.

You are a Champion!

Further Study: 2 Tim. 3:7-12.

Covenant Prayers

  1. Father, I give you praise for all you have seen me through.
  2. Lord, give me grace to stand in the face of any persecution.
  3. I shall not give up over my dream because of rejection or hatred.
  4. Wherever I have been rejected oh Lord, rise up and favour me.

QUOTE: “YOU MAY LOSE CONTROL OF YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES, GOD HAS NOT AND CANNOT.”
