Do Good For Others, It Will Come Back In Unexpected Ways

Text:  Exodus 2:1-15 – “Then he said, “Who made you a prince and a judge over us? Do you intend to kill me as you killed the Egyptian?” (vs. 14).

Every person has within themselves the ability to do good, and every good deed has its own kind of reward. I believe that if all of us will think good, speak good and do good, the circles of goodness will grow in the world.

No one is more cherished in this world than someone who lightens the burden of another. Being good is commendable, but only when it is combined with doing good is it useful.

And I want you to know that, no act of kindness, no matter how small is ever wasted. One of the lessons of life you must learn as you continue in the journey of life is that, not all people will pay you back the good you do to them along your way up.

Some may return the good deeds while others may snub even when you need them most. Don’t get angry; don’t be discouraged, life is just like that, you just keep doing what God has sent you to do.

Beloved, there are situations in life when those you once helped to get to where they are going to will be the same set of people who will prevent you from getting to your own destination. Or, what can you say about a situation where one is rejected and forgotten even by those who are so close to him?

A situation in which people you trust so much now turn against you. This is the scenario in which Moses found himself from our text for today, when those he was defending rose up against him, which eventually landed him in trouble to the extent of running away to another land.

Don’t stop doing good, your reward will surely come one day.

You are a Champion!

Further Study: 2 Tim. 3:1-12.

Covenant Prayers

  • Father, I thank you for being there for me always.
  • Lord, give me grace to stand firm in the face of every persecution.
  • Wherever I have been rejected, Father, rise up and favour me.
  • Father, make me a wonder before those who are up against me.

Quote: “YOU MAY LOOSE CONTROL OF YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES, GOD HAS NOT AND CANNOT.”
