DON’T DISQUALIFY YOURSELF LIKE MOSES DID (Tuesday, 23rd September 2025)
Exodus 4:1-9 “So the Lord said to him, what is, that in your hand? “He said, A rod”. (vs. 2).
God is fully committed to performing His counsel over your life, irrespective of human or material inadequacies. Many people look down on what they have now and conclude it’s not enough to take them to where they are going in life. Beloved, I want you to know that, that is a lie of the devil. Because if God is on your side, the little you have can become an instrument for your much-desired turnaround. From our text for today, When the Lord called Moses, he gave God series of excuses why he was unfit for the job, but God knocked out all his excuses and gave him the job of a deliverer.
Many times, we attempt to disqualify ourselves like Moses did, in the hope that God will pass us over and look for someone else. We are often so afraid of failure, so entrenched in our negative beliefs, so committed to self-humiliation, that we fail to see that God always equips whoever He calls for the assignment at hand. You must believe that God wants to use you; he has a task and a responsibility for you to carry out. And in using you, God will always ask you to look inward and around you because the tool of success is with you. He will ask you what is in your hand like Moses. What you have might not be much, just simple education, no great genius, and just a little faith, then he says throw it on the ground. In other word “lay it at my feet. Moses, who initially saw himself as a misfit for the assignment eventually became a terror to the land of Egypt, and a great leader to the children of Israel.
