No seed, no harvest. No sowing, no reaping. No pain, no gain.

Taking risk is part of life. Faith without works (taking risk) is dead.

Why do men avoid taking risks?

1. Risk involves the unseen.

It goes beyond the physical realm. Risk has to do with inner conviction. Faith deals with the unseen.

2. Risk overlook alternatives.

Men don’t take risks because they are not ready to let go of the alternatives. (2 Kings 7:4)

3. Risk or steps of faith attracts ridicule initially.

In the school of faith, he who laugh last, last best.

4. Risk is the price tag for returns.

Nothing is free in life. Salvation is not free. Jesus paid for your salvation with His life.

To give your life to Christ is not free, it will cost you your pride.

Even free things comes with a price tag. (Esther 5:1-3)

Prayer cannot replace hard work. Be ready to pay the price. Stop confessing faith, start acting out your faith. Start exercising your faith.

Prayer

1. Father, as I take steps of faith, as I take risks, because my trust is in You, God be with me.

2. As I take steps of faith, let the work of my hands give me great joy in Jesus’ name.

3. I refuse to remain on the same spot this new year in Jesus’ name.

4. Father, give me a new song to sing in every area of my life in Jesus’ name.
