NOTHING IS PARTICULARLY HARD IF YOU DIVIDE IT INTO SMALL PIECES (Sunday, 31st May 2026)

Text for Today: Prov. 6:6-11 “Go to the ant, you sluggard! Consider her ways and be wise.” (vs. 6).

The man who moves a mountain begins by carrying away small stones. In the journey of life, you must learn to dream big, but start small; do what you can do at a time. You are likely to vomit your dream if you take too much at a time. Whatever you see that is big today, started small yesterday. It does not matter how slowly you go, as long as you do not stop you will get there one day. Whoever is afraid or too proud to start small will remain on the same spot for long. Going through the biography of men and women who sit at the top of great business conglomerates, one common denominator you see there is that, they all started small and grew to become what they are today.

By the grace of God, the first edition of this devotional, Champions Nuggets that came out in June 2009, happened to be just 100 copies, which has now grown into thousands, which God is now using to bless so many lives across the continents of the world.  This devotional, to the glory of God has opened several doors to me in life. Henry Ford once said, “Nothing is particularly hard if you divide it into small pieces.” And if you start small, you don’t need a lot of motivation to get started either.  The simple act of getting started and doing something will give you the momentum you need, and soon you’ll find yourself in a positive spiral of changes – one building on the other.  Start with just one activity, and plan for how you will deal with troubles when they arise. Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out.

You are a Champion!

Further Study: Eccles. 9:10-12.

Covenant Prayers

  1. Father, I appreciate you for all your wonders in my life.
  2. I rebuke every spirit of laziness and complacency in Jesus’ name.
  3. Father, grant me grace to start small and keep building on it.
  4. Whatever I lay my hands upon shall be crowned with proofs.
