THE DANGER OF WRONG ATTITUDE (Saturday, 13th September 2025)

Text for Today: 1 Sam. 15:1-29 “Then Samuel went to Saul, and Saul said to him, “Blessed are you of the Lord! I have performed the commandment of the Lord.” (vs. 13).

As we continue with our study on the subject of wrong attitude, let me start by saying that, you have the capacity to do away with wrong attitude if you so desire. Attitude 3: LOOKING DOWN ON OTHERS. Also, He spoke this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others: Luke 18:9. This attitude is very common in our days. For example, some people think it is only their denomination of Christians that will go to heaven. Unfortunately, God is not only in one church and I wonder what it will take to make them see that. Certain people think that if you are not part of them then you are a sinner.

Attitude 4: COMFORTABLE IN DISOBEDIENCE. There are some people who are comfortable and unperturbed after clearly disobeying God. From our text for today, what King Saul said to Samuel clearly shows that he was comfortable in disobedience, and that was where he missed it. After doing contrary to what the Lord instructed, he still had the boldness to say, “I have performed the commandment of the LORD.” Beloved, if you are disobeying divine instruction and you think nothing is happening because you still, enjoy your life, it’s because your day of reckoning has not come, and when it comes, nobody will be able to save, not even your pastor. You could see that, after God rejected Saul, even Prophet Samuel couldn’t save him. 1 Sam. 16:1 says, “Now the Lord said to Samuel, “How long will you mourn for Saul, seeing that I have rejected him from reigning over Israel.”

You are a Champion!

Further Study: 1 Sam. 16:1-13.

  1. Father, I give you praise and glory for this new day.
  2. I cast out every spirit of disobedience from my life.
  3. I receive grace never to look down on any man.
  4. Dear Lord, make my way prosperous today as I go out.
