God’s Love Never Wears Out

Text for Today: Ephes. 1:1-14 “Just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world..” (vs. 4a).

God’s love is like an ocean; you can see it’s beginning, but can never see it’s end. He said in Jer. 31:3, “I have loved you with an everlasting love.” Though our feelings come and go, God’s love for us does not.

God’s love is the most powerful love there is; it is a bond that draws us to God and motivates us to serve Him successfully. You can look anywhere and everywhere, but you will never find love that is purer and all encompassing of everything than God’s love.

How do you talk about God’s love in its totality without you getting lost along the way, because the description of His love has no end? A lot have been preached, written down, said about the love of God, yet there are still many more mysteries waiting to be unraveled about the enormity of God’s love to mankind.

Beloved, if Jesus tarries, even the incoming generation cannot exhaust the subject of the love of God. When Paul wrote from prison to the Faithful followers of Jesus in Ephesus, in order to assure the recipients of his letter that God’s love is really beyond measuring, Paul writes that God’s love for us is older than creation and longer than time itself.

He chose us in Him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in His sight. Paul writes these words not to confound us, but to assure that God considers us important. We are the apples of His eyes.

He loves us with a love that predates even our sin. Then my question to you today is, what are you doing and what kind of lifestyle are you living to reciprocate the ageless love of God.

You are a Champion!

Further Study: Rom. 8:31-39.

  • Father, I thank you for your ageless love towards me.
  • I receive grace to be totally committed to God and His kingdom.
  • I cast out whatever wants to separate me from the love of God.
