THE ROUTE TO RECOVERY IS TO KNOW WHAT WE HAVE LOST (Sunday, 21st December 2025)
Text for Today: 1 Sam. 30:1-19 “And he answered him, “Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all.” (vs. 8).
One of the covenant names of God is “GOD OF RESTORATION”, and he’s not tired of manifesting it over and over again. There is no harm or injustice the wicked brings up against a covenant child that God cannot overturn and even settle him far better. The plan of God is for you to be in charge of whatever good thing he has given to you, but the devil and his agents are experts in snatching what belongs to others in other to make their lives miserable. Whoever is complacent and fails to fight the good fight of faith will end up crying over what rightfully belongs to him. From our text for today, what happened to David and his men shows us that if we can look up to God, there is nothing the enemy took away from us, that will not be restored back double.
Everything David and his men had was captured and stolen; their wives, children and properties inclusive. All the men broke down into tears, which is a natural happening to every person who may have lost something valuable. David consulted God, and he promised him an intact and full recovery without injury. The route to recovery is to know what we have lost. You can only find what you know is missing. When you know what you’ve lost, recovery becomes easier, earlier and without injury. If you don’t know what you are looking for, you will be confused and you will always be feeling empty and unfulfilled every day. I pray for you today that God of restoration shall help you to recover all you have lost in the name of Jesus. And there shall be no loss in your life anymore.
You are Champion!
Further Study: 2 Kings 6:1-7.
