YOUR SPIRITUAL LIFE MUST GET BETTER THROUGH PRAYER (Wednesday, 24th September 2025)
Text for Today: 1 Sam. 3:1-12 “Now the Lord came and stood and called as at other times “Samuel! Samuel!! and Samuel answered, “Speak, for your servant hears” (vs. 10).
Prayer and clearly written in the Bible is designed to make our spiritual life better and sharpened. Talking to God in prayer without you waiting to hear from Him is a one-sided prayer that will not take you far in life. How do you want to rule and reign on earth if you don’t hear from Him regularly, via His word and personal encounters? All communications with heaven begin in prayer, but like all communications, it is a two-way process – we talk to God and He talks to us. Prayer is meant to be a dialogue not a monologue, it is meant to be done between two or more people. Dr. W.E. Sangster raised a question “Can God put a thought into the heart of man?” Yes, He can even do more – He can put His very life, He can also flow into us so that His life penetrates every fiber of our being and His thoughts intermingle with our own.
On a number of occasions, I have gone on my knees utterly troubled and worried, only to arise, strengthened, reinforced and victorious. And after these, something within me said that I have actually met with God, it can also happen to you as well, when your spirit, soul and body connects with God in prayer. Any child of God who fails to commune with God regularly has a lot to lose and also lives his life at the mercy of the enemy. Whoever has no time to pray has simply created time and space for the devil to come in and harass his destiny at will. Why live your life on gamble when you have a clear choice of living it well with diverse exploits emanating from it.
