Your Focus Determines Your Reality
Text for Today: I Sam. 30:1-18 “Now David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him..” (vs. 6).
Whenever you want to achieve something in life, keep your eyes open, concentrate and make sure you know exactly what it is you want. No one can hit their target with their eyes closed.
When you maintain your focus on what matters and stay positive, good things will surely happen. You don’t get results by focusing on results, you get it by focusing on the actions that produce results. You must learn to stay focused on your goals, your peace and your happiness.
Don’t waste your time on anything that doesn’t contribute to your growth. You become a master of your life when you learn how to control where your attention goes.
As we move ahead in the journey of life, we may get to some junctions where some of those we labour on at some points in our lives may decide not to go with us again. You’ve got to know that not everyone around you will identify with you all through life, due to one reason or the other.
You just have to stay focused on the assignment until you get to your desired destination. From our text for today, the same people David had labored on for several years, rose up against him with stones in their hands.
They forgot the fact that, David himself was a victim as well, they were only concerned about what happened to them alone. If you are the type that gives attention to what people say or do to you in the season of your trial, you will simply lose focus and sink with that trial.
