NIGHTMARE IS NOT GOD’S DESIGN FOR YOUR LIFE (Friday, 6th February 2026)
Text for Today: Prov. 3:19-26 “And when you lie down, you will not be afraid; Yes, you will lie down and your sleep will be sweet.” (vs. 24).
Sleep that is devoid of fear is one of the blessings of God that must not be allowed to be tampered with. God’s plan for our lives is for us to sleep and enjoy it without fear and stress. When the opposite begins to happen, you must know that the devil and his agents are up to something. The siege of nightmare is a dangerous tool in the hand of the devil he uses to torment and afflict men. I have listened to countless stories and tales of how the devil battered many lives through the instrument of nightmare. If you don’t stop it soon, it will stop you one day.
Sometimes ago, someone told me of how he became afflicted with a strange illness after he had a nightmare that he was on the sick bed in the dream. It was God that removed the hand of the wicked away from his life eventually after several months, when we engaged in warfare prayers. Some people regularly eat in the dream, some have sex in the dream, some see themselves in a spiritual family with a spirit husband and some kids in the dream, while some are daily oppressed in their dream. Many people have been thrown into a life of endless struggle, pains and misery and even untimely death through the siege of nightmare. It is not God’s design for your life. Thus, you must get up and confront it to a standstill before it brings your destiny to a standstill. If nightmare is left uncrushed, it causes sickness, delay, stagnation and untimely death. I am sure you do not want any of these, thus make sure you do not permit nightmare to persist at all in your life
