NOT EVERYONE WILL BELIEVE IN YOUR DREAM (Thursday, 19th February 2026)

Text for Today: 1 Sam. 17:26-51 “So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and a stone, and killed him.” (vs. 50).

What you know and see about your vision and dream, no one else may be able to see it that same way, nor will anyone be able to interpret it as you would. Many people have missed out on their dreams in life because they allowed some other people to dictate how their dreams will run and speak. Some people will never be able to look into the future for you; they will only base their conclusion on who and where you are today. Thus, if you allow men to determine your future as a result of who you are today and you keep quiet, you are doomed. Not everyone will be ready to believe in your dream, particularly if it is faith-driven.

Men love to stand with what will not give them stress or stretch them beyond their limit. However, whoever will become a voice to his generation, which I believe you are such a person, must be ready to break all forms of barriers and natural rules and norms to get to his desired destination. From our text for today, David had this understanding and did not allow his brothers or King Saul to determine his future. David held on to his belief, self-confidence, and faith in God even when no one gave him any chance. There was nothing that everyone around David did not say in order to stop him from confronting Goliath, but he resisted all. I want to believe that if it were to be this present time, those around him, particularly his elder brothers, would have put a call through to their father back at home to come over and pick up his “over-ambitious son.”
