ONE MOMENT OF IMPATIENCE MAY RUIN A WHOLE LIFE (Wednesday, 29th April 2026)
Text for Today: Gen. 37:5-11 “Now Joseph had a dream, and he told it to his brothers; and they hated him even more.” (vs. 5).
Those who can’t wait for their appointed time often waste away. Someone said, and I quote, “Obstacles are put in your way to see if what you want in life is really worth fighting for.” Patience and perseverance have a magical effect, before which difficulties disappear, and obstacles vanish. Before every great reward comes the footprint of persistence, consistency, perseverance, courage, faith, and patience. Come what may, all bad fortune is to be conquered by endurance. Patience may be painful and stressful, but its fruit is very sweet. One moment of patience may ward off a great disaster, while one moment of impatience may ruin a whole life.
Beloved, I want you to know that patience is more than learning to wait; it is having learned what is worth your time. Winston Churchill says, and I quote, “Success is the ability to go from one failure to another with no loss of enthusiasm.” Patience with God is the ability to trust and wait on Him in times of difficulties, ugly challenges, even when nothing seems to be working. From our text for today, Joseph’s dream of becoming great in life took him through a challenging path, which almost took his life, yet he endured it all until he got to the throne. Joseph patiently worked faithfully in every situation he found himself. He waited for God to fulfill His promise for him, even when Chief Mrs. Portiphar brought another option to him. Not only was Joseph a leader of his people, but he ruled over the people of Egypt, too. Beloved, everything will come to you at the right time; just be patient.
You are a Champion!
Further Study: Gen. 21:1-7.
