YOUR DEEDS TODAY WILL WAIT FOR YOU IN THE FUTURE IN FORM OF HARVEST (Wednesday, 3rd June 2026)
Text for Today: Gen. 32:1-11 “So Jacob was greatly afraid and distressed; and he divided the people that were with him….” (vs. 7).
A wise man is always conscious of his actions because he knows the consequences wait ahead of him in the future while a fool is not bothered and just do things anyhow. Beloved, you have power over your choices in life, but you have no control over the consequences of your choices. Some people create their own storms and then get mad when it rains. Thus, we must be very careful with our choices and actions in life. There are people around you who will never forget the good or the bad you did several years ago. You need to know that men are very versatile in keeping records of your past activities in their memory. It will shock you and you will think the capacity of their mental memory card is up 500 GB.
Please always ask yourself before you take any action that, “Will I be able to live with the consequences of this action in the future or not.” Like I told a young man recently that, “Your deeds today will wait for you in the future in form of harvest.” From our text for today, Jacob was greatly disturbed when he reflected on how he had cheated Esau, his brother; in the past and felt Esau was going to deal with him. However, God took care of Jacob’ fear of rejection in Gen. 33. Note this, not everyone will enjoy the grace that Jacob enjoyed, thus be very careful with the kind of seeds you sow today. As you step out every day of this new month, be conscious of how you treat everyone that comes your way in life, because you are simply sowing seeds that will wait for you in the future.
