DON’T WASTE HIS SACRIFICE OVER YOU (Wednesday, 11th March 2026)
Text for Today: Luke 19:1-10 “For the Son of Man has come to seek and save that which was lost.” (vs. 10).
Everybody has a past that the sacrifice Jesus made on the cross at Calvary took care of. He gave us a new beginning and a new opportunity to live our lives and fulfill our mandate on earth. If men were to be God, many people would have been roasted alive by the kind of judgment they will give. And if you will take a close look at the lives of those shouting, “Kill him for what he has done”, you would see a greater reason why they should be the ones to die first and not the culprit at hand. A thorough look at the world all over will reveal the fact that the most terrible, and devastating fact in the universe today is sin. Right from the Book of Genesis, the Bible reveals to us the havoc rendered by sin.
The Bible says the earth was greatly corrupt before God and was filled with violence. As a result of this God decided to destroy the first world he created and a fresh one started with Noah and his family. That did not stop however, Romans 3:23 says “For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God”. God therefore decided to make a long-lasting remedy for us, helpless men in that He decided to send Jesus Christ – His only begotten son into the earth to die for the propitiation of man. My charge unto you this morning is basically to alert you once again about the great sacrifice Jesus made for you and warn you not to waste his labour over you. If you have been saved, never contemplate going back, and if not, you can receive Him into your life today as your Lord and Saviour.
