PETER GAVE WHEN IT WAS PRACTICALLY DIFFICULT TO DO SO (Saturday, 21st March 2026)

Text for Today: Luke 5:1-7 “Then He got into one of the boats, which was Simon’s, and asked him to put out a little from the land.” (vs. 3).

Your ability to follow divine principles all seasons will determine your placement and end result in life. Whatever you do during your season of comfort cannot be said to be a true assessment of who you really are. Doing the same thing over and over again all through various seasons of life, is a proof of your character and faith in God as a believer. Many Christians profess their love for God and His church when things are going on well, only for them to do otherwise when a small challenge spring up. What you do in every situation you find yourself in life will determine what will happen in the next chapter of your life. That is why, as a believer you must be conscious of what goes on around you and your response to each of the situations.

From our text for today, if Peter had not been conscious and responded well to Jesus’ request, he would have missed a lifetime encounter presented before him that day. Some people are good starters when it comes to the issue of giving in God’s kingdom, only for them to become complacent along the way and thereby miss out of their rewards. Peter had every reason to ignore Jesus when he requested for his boat, but glory be to God he let it go, and his story changed thereafter. Peter encountered his purpose for living that day, and he never remained the same again because he gave his boat to be used for the spread of the gospel. Since the year started, have you also been committed to the cause of kingdom expansion or you are simply watching others get it done. BE A CONSISTENT GIVER!

You are a Champion!

Further Study: 1 Kings 17:8-24.
