HEAVEN WILL ONLY OPEN ITS FLOOD GATES UPON THOSE WHO ARE OBEDIENT (Tuesday, 23rd June 2026)
Text for Today: Mark 10:46-52 “And Jesus said unto him, Go, for your faith has healed you. Instantly the man could see, and he followed Jesus down the road. (NLT) (vs. 52).
Great moves of God are usually preceded by simple acts of obedience. There will be no peace or desired result in any soul or life until it is willing to obey divine instruction. If you know that God loves you, you should never question a directive from Him, particularly as stated in the Bible. Beloved, I want you to know that, we will never be instructed or prompted by the Holy Spirit to do what we cannot do. God’s people are ordinary people who have been made extraordinary through obedience. And mind you, selective obedience brings selective blessing, what God requires from us is total obedience. Don’t go outside of God to get something, because you will have to stay outside of God to keep it.
Whatever you do with divine instruction given will determine what flows to you from God. Heaven will only open its flood gates upon those who are willing and obedient according to Is. 1:19. From our text for today, even though Jesus gave Bartimaeus His attention, nothing significant happened to him until he followed the instruction given to him by Jesus. Jesus said, “Go, for your faith has healed you…”, and the moment he took a step, he received his sight. You cannot enjoy the fullness of God’s attention and blessings without first being obedient to His word. Obedience is a choice; it is a choice between our own limited knowledge and power and God’s unlimited wisdom and omnipotence. I charge you to be obedient even when you do not know where the obedience may lead you.
