HE KNEW SOMETHING WAS MISSING IN HIS LIFE (Monday, 4th May 2026)
Text for Today: Jn. 3:1-21 “Nicodemus said to Him, How can a man be born when he is old”. (vs.4).
Until a man admits there’s a vacuum in his life, he won’t take the right step. Jesus said in John 14:6 that, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” Irrespective of your status and age, accepting the gift of salvation is non-negotiable if you want to gain access to the Father. Whoever deceives himself and refuses to own up to his shortcomings and seek ways to address them, will never live to fulfill his purpose on earth. From our text for today, Elder Nicodemus knew something was missing in his life, and being a Pharisee, he couldn’t go to Jesus during the daytime because of what his colleagues would do to him, yet he went secretly at night. He didn’t want to continue going through the wrong path, thus he went to Jesus and asked Him for a solution to his problems. Beloved, you don’t have all the answers to life’s questions by yourself; there are some people God has positioned around you to help you out. It does not matter the height you have attained in life; there are people around whom you will still have to learn one or two things from. If you are not humbled to go to such people, it means you are going to be limited in such areas of your life. Nicodemus didn’t consider his age or status; he knew there was something he needed that only Jesus could give, and he went to meet with him. You can start by asking yourself these questions: “Who am I?” “What do I need?” “How do I function best?” “What do I have to give?” “What’s the next step I can take right now?” There is profound power in asking questions.
