THE VICTORIOUS FAITH
Sunday Service (7th June 2026)
June Covenant Day of Thanksgiving
Monthly Focus: Growing in Faith
Ministering: Pastor Wole Dahunsi
Texts: 1 John 5:4
Opening Charge: As we increase in age, we must also increase in faith and in the things of God, to have access to our covenant inheritance.
Core Message
=> If there is a victorious faith, then there is a kind of faith that is not victorious.
=> The victorious faith can also mean the winning faith.
=> A number of times in the scripture, Jesus questioned the faith of His disciples – when their faith didn’t produce results.
=> A little faith cannot be victorious, so we must not be of little faith.
What is Faith?
=> Hebrews 11:1.
1. Faith is the assurance that you have, which says “what I am expecting will soon come”.
2. Faith is the belief that you have, which says “God is not asleep over your matter”. Psalms 121:4.
3. Faith is the conviction that what you do not have today is still part of God’s plan for your life.
4. Faith is the assurance that you are not alone everywhere you go as a child of God. Hebrews 11:8.
5. Faith is the absence of doubt about the person and capacity of God. Hebrews 11:17-19.
Reasons people avoid taking risks of faith
=> Someone who is scared of taking risks is someone who lacks faith. Every risk taker is a faith practitioner. Taking a step of faith translates to taking risks.
=> Risk simply means the possibility of danger ahead, and as you keep moving, you move with faith.
1. Risks involve the unseen. Risk thrives on our inner conviction.
2. Risk overlooks the alternative.
=> Faith becomes victorious when it is strong.
Key Takeaways
1. Whoever lacks faith will become a victim in the hands of the enemy.
2. Some people no longer believe in tomorrow because of the challenges of today.
3. Faith is believing that God is working out things for you.
4. The first proof that you have that God is not asleep over your matter is that you are still alive.
5. Don’t wait for signs before you are convinced. Faith relies on the assurance of God’s words.
6. For every vision that God gives, some people have been designed to partake in the blessings.
7. Some believers are still in doubt about the person and capacity of God. Their faith is not strong yet.
8. Faith is you believing God for who He says He is.
9. Stop relating God to man. God is not a man. Men may have failed or disappointed you, but God cannot.
10. A major link between you (you now) and your future is faith. If your faith dies, you are going nowhere with God.
11. If there’s anything the devil wants to steal from you, it is your faith.
12. Faith can fail.
13. Whatever you do in the house of God is for your own good.
14. Being a giver requires faith.
Prayers
1. Father, help my faith to grow this month, and even beyond. Clear every iota of doubt.
