STOP THAT EVIL FAMILY PATTERN TODAY (Sunday, 7th June 2026)
Text for Today: Gen. 19:30-38 “Come, let us make our father drink wine, and we will lie with him, that we may preserve the lineage of our father.” (vs. 32).
Whatever evil pattern in your family you surrender to will cage you till you go to the grave; thus, you must be careful. Stop saying it runs in my family and there’s nothing I can do, when you have the power to break generational curses as a covenant child. The kind of life you live is a choice you have to make and fight for it, irrespective of what runs in the family you came out from. No man in life has the opportunity to choose the family he is born into, what is required is for us to make our mark on earth no matter what has been happening in the family even before you came.
A truth everyone must understand is that ancestral curses and covenants that troubled your fore-fathers, is ready to repeat itself over you if you do not take drastic spiritual steps against them. It is shocking and painful when you see destinies faltering at the verge of breakthrough due to sheer misbehaviours. Most times, the misbehaviours are borne out of generational curses and covenants. Whatever evil traits or pattern you have noticed running in your family must be confronted headlong before it perpetuates itself in your life and that of your children. From our text for today, a particular act (drunkenness) that made Noah to misbehave also caused Lot to misbehave as well. These men were from the same lineage, so it runs in their family. The case of Judah, Tamar and that of David with Bathsheba were not mere coincidence in the lineage. It showed that there was a trend. Stop that evil pattern today before it cuts short your destiny.
