Core Message

=> For everyone who is alive today, there are deeds of God in their lives that they need to acknowledge and thank Him for.

=> Whoever fails to appreciate God has taken Him for granted.

=> The only thing God cannot give to Himself is thanksgiving, and that’s the main thing He expects from us. We are created to regularly show forth His praise.

=> God’s presence is forever around those who know how to thank Him. Psalm 22:3.

Case Study: Jesus Christ

=> Jesus came into the world in the body of a man to show us the way.

=> All through his three and a half years of ministry, He showed us the need for thanksgiving.

=> There is always something you can use as a point of contact to get what you desire. Just like the boy’s lunch in the feeding of the five thousand. Gospels: Matthew 14:13–21, Mark 6:31–44, Luke 9:12–17, and John 6:1–14.

* David also used the key of thanksgiving against Goliath. He was not qualified to be on the battlefield. 1 Samuel 17:37.

What stops many people from praising God?

1. Pride
=> Pride is a killer and destroyer, and the way God deals with prideful people is dangerous. James 4:6.

=> Only humble people can celebrate the faithfulness of God.

=> King Nebuchadnezzar is an example of a proud man. He didn’t return the glory of his accomplishment to God, so he lived as an animal in the palace for seven years. Daniel 4:30-33.

2. Complaining and Murmuring.
=> Numbers 16:13; 14:2-3,4-9,26-30.

=> Each time you complain, you are accusing God of mismanaging your life. But God can never mismanage your life.

=> Flee from murmuring. God will only attend to your prayers, not your complaints.
