MERE TALK PUTS NO BREAD ON THE TABLE (Sunday, 12th July 2026)
Text for Today: Prov. 14:12:24 “Hard work always pays off; mere talk puts no bread on the table.” (vs. 23). MSG.
Sometimes our dreams and goals never materialize. We talk them to death, but don’t act. The fourth step to take to launch yourself to where you want to be this second half of the year is to TAKE ACTION ON YOUR PLAN. Plan your work, and then work your plan. Many people are fond of mere talk while they do nothing about their plans. Beloved, if you will make your mark this second half of the year, you must stop making noise about your plan; rather start making moves to work it out and see it materialize. Our text for today says, “Hard work always pays off; mere talk puts no bread on the table,” shows that whoever is only committed to talking without taking actions will end up in poverty, because engaging your plans is a sure way to success and prosperity.
Many years ago, precisely April 1996, after I came up with a plan to start my consultancy firm named, Crown Wolex Art Foundation, I acted by resigning my appointment from where I was working then and began my consultation with several private schools within Ibadan. The action I took with the help of God turned things around for me, because more than twenty schools engaged the services of my firm and many more were still interested in coming on board when I came into full time ministry in August 2000. The same approach I took when the church I pastor now was going to take off in November 2007. I admonish you to go all out and take actions on your mapped out plans so as to get to where your heart desires to be.
