CONTINUE WITH YOUR GOOD WORKS AND LET GOD VINDICATE YOU (Wednesday, 22nd July 2026)

Text for Today: Acts 2:14-39 “Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Men and brethren, what shall we do.” (vs. 37).

It does not take long for people’s opinion to change as long as God Almighty decorates your life with amazing proofs and results. You need not fight with anyone who says what you are doing is rubbish and has no value, simply continue with your good works and let God vindicate you. I pray for you this early morning that, whoever decried or rubbished your effort before now shall come back to bow down and celebrate your results in the name of Jesus. Only a fool will deny result when it becomes evident. What you don’t hear or know can never be of any benefit to you. Rom. 10:17 says, “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing the word of God.”

Immediately after the day of Pentecost, Peter stood to address all those who spoke well of the happenings and those who mocked them. He shared with them the gospel of Jesus Christ, and even challenged them as regards the evil they did against Jesus Christ despite all His good works among them. He took them on a journey of all that David and the prophets whom they all heard about said about Jesus and how it all came to pass right before their eyes. When they heard this, according to our main text for today, they were cut to the heart, New Living Translation says, “Peter’s word pierced their hearts”, while Good News Translation says, “When the people heard this, they were deeply troubled”, also New English Translation Bibles says, “They were acutely distressed.” Beloved, all of these point to the fact that, the sermon of Peter arrested their heart, same people that rejected the gospel before.

You are a Champion!

Further Study: Luke 2:41-50.
