MAKE PRAISE AND THANKSGIVING A CULTURE (Sunday, 2nd August 2026)

Text for Today: Ps. 117:1-2 “Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles! Laud Him, all you peoples!” (vs. 1).

For as long as we live, our lives must continue to show forth the praise of God in all that we do, if we don’t want to be disconnected from the true source. A truth everyone must come to term with is that the utmost reason why God created us as human beings is for us to continually praise Him and as well show forth His praise wherever we go to. Whoever fails to live a lifestyle of praise has defeated the main reason for his existence and will be a subject to the devil. An adage among the Yorubas of Western part of Nigeria says, “Whoever cannot worship God, will definitely serve something that is smaller to God.” Beloved, if you have no time to worship and appreciate God, then what do you have time for? At least He gives you 24 hours freely every day, or what did you give Him to have done that. Many people had wished to be alive today but they are no more, because their chapter got closed in the land of the living last month or even before. The question is, how do we appreciate God’s goodness and favour upon us as mortals and products of His creation? In all that you do and your ways, stay away from murmuring and grumbling over the happenings in your life. That was the mistake made by the Israelites, that stopped many of them from crossing over to the Promised Land. From our text for today, we could see that the Psalmist admonished ALL THE PEOPLE TO PRAISE THE LORD, irrespective of your present status or condition. Only a dead man is permitted not to praise Him. The future will be secured when you thank God for today.

You are a champion!

Further Study: Ps. 103:1-22.
