STAY CONNECTED TO CHRIST TO TRIUMPH IN LIFE (Sunday, 26th July 2026)
Text for Today: John 15:1-11 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.” (vs. 5).
A fish needs water to survive, monkeys need trees to stay excited, as a child of God, your survival and triumph in life cannot be found outside of Christ. Anyone who disconnects himself from the source of his supply should be ready for shortage, failure and embarrassment of all sorts. Whatever you see that is running well in life has a source that sustains the flow. As a child of God, whoever you are today and whatever you have is solely by the grace of God who is your source and the day you cut yourself off from Him, you will hear the story of your life and pay for it. From our text for today, when Jesus said, “Apart from Me you can do nothing”, He meant exactly what He said….
The same Word which He tells us “Apart from Me you can do noting” also says “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” (Philip. 4:13). The key words are “Through Him”. That is diametrically opposed to a life of self-improvement, self-development, or self-control…. No one can do anything successfully except by the help of Christ. Beloved, I want you to know that, there is nothing called self-sufficient if Christ does not help you. There is a striking link between the baby’s dependent relationship with his mother and our life of dependency on Christ. Because of its dependence life, a baby in the womb could say, “For me, to live is Mom.” In the same way, we can say, “For me, to live is Christ.” I want you to know that, Christ has never and will never do anything that will put your life in danger. In fact, He is always mindful of you. (Ps. 115:12).
