A MISTAKE MADE IS NOT THE END OF AN ASSIGNMENT (Wednesday, 30th September 2026)
Text for Today: Matt. 26:69-75 “And Peter remembered the word of Jesus who had said to him, before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times.” (vs. 75).
Since the beginning of this year up till today, which is the last day in the month of September, if we are going to be sincere with ourselves, we have made some mistakes along the line. Beloved, what we do with those mistakes now and in our future endeavour will go a long way in determining our showing in the last quarter of year 2026. A mistake made is not the end of an assignment or a project, it’s simply a call to do it a different way to get the desired result. The most honourable thing is not to make mistakes, but to admit to them when you do make them, and then to follow through and do your best to make the wrong right.
A man of good integrity accepts his error and comes out very much later with an outstanding result. The truth is, mistakes linger and hurt particularly when it affects our dreams and pursuit negatively. They make you ask unimaginable questions such as: “I can’t believe I fell for that again.” From our text for today, the same Peter who vowed such a thing would never happened when Jesus told him he would deny Him three times, eventually denied Jesus thrice. What a bad and terrible day it was for Pete. However, he was able to manage his mistake with wisdom which opened doors of great opportunity for his life and destiny. What mistakes have you made in your academics, business, career, marriage, relationship with God, etc. Those mistakes are meant to propel you into great destiny. Peter took note of his past mistake, came out of it and became an apostle.
