DESPITE OUR CIRCUMSTANCES, WE CAN HAVE VICTORY AND PEACE (Tuesday, 17th March 2026)
Text for Today: Philip. 4:2-13 “Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content.” (vs. 11).
You are not what you go through in life, it is how you respond to it that defines who you really are. The enormity of what you go through in life is not as important as your response to it. How we respond to whatever we go through will determine whether we will triumph over it or it will consume us. And a covenant tool and instrument we need to respond to life’s challenges is faith. The scriptures teach that every Christian will face many trials and disappointments in this life, but there is an assurance that we shall be victorious as long as we are on the side of God.
However, we must understand, our deliverance and victory may not always mean the immediate alteration of our circumstances. He will change YOU internally so that you can “endure” the circumstances and triumph over it eventually. This is what Paul meant when he said he could be “content” regardless of what state he found himself (Phil. 4:11). Despite our circumstances, we can have victory and peace in our heart, with the patience to endure until He alters our situation. From our further study for today, despite all that Hannah had to go through in the hands of Peninnah her rival, she kept her cool and responded with faith. She never stopped praying and trusting God for her own child one day and God settled her eventually. She lives each day in victory – with God’s peace and joy rooted firmly in her heart. When she had Samuel, she was filled with joy and moved from victory to victory.
You are a Champion!
Further Study: 1 Sam. 1:1-28.
Covenant Prayer
- Father, I thank you for your saving hand upon my life.
- I receive grace to endure till my change comes.
- Lord, frustrate every plot of the devil that wants to frustrate me.
- I shall come out victorious in all that I do today.
