DON’T BECOME A VICTIM OF THE ENEMY WITHIN (Sunday, 31st August, 2025)
Text for Today: Judges 6:11-22 “So he said to Him, “O my Lord, how can I save Israel? Indeed, my clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father’s house.” (vs. 15).
Whatever God has given you the power to do in life, no other person will rise to do it for you, not even angels. Not until a man conquers and subdue the enemy within he can never have dominion over the enemy without, neither will he be able to make any significant progress in life. This is because, the enemies within are stronger than the enemies outside. And whoever is a victim of the enemy within, will continue to groan and lament all the days of his life, except he does something to address it swiftly. What are the enemies within? (i) The internal conflict you are exposed to. The war you fight on your inside, what makes you quarrel with yourself within. (ii) A state of lack of confidence. (iii) A voice of defeat which you contend with. (iv) The inner drive that makes you dwell on your weakness and weak areas. (v) Wrong imaginations and thoughts.
You become the final product of the image you form in your heart. (vi) A condition of the mind that makes you doubt God. From our text for today, Gideon was a victim of all I have just heighted above here as enemies within. Even when the angel of the Lord told him what he is able to do, he was still doubtful of his capacity to save Israel by the help of God. Beloved, today is the last day in the month of August, which means we are just left with four months in the journey of this year. Thus, if you want to make greater impacts before this year is over, you must deal with the enemy within. As we step into the Ember months in the next few hours, receive grace to always deal with the enemy within.
