DON’T CELEBRATE YOUR THOUGHTS ABOVE THE THOUGHTS OF GOD (Tuesday, 9th September 2025)
Text for Today: 2 Kings 5:1-14 “But Naaman became furious, and went away and said, Indeed, I said to myself, he will surely come out to me and stand….” (vs. 11a).
A song says, “You are God, from beginning to the end; there’s no place for argument. You are God all by yourself.” The blueprint of your life and how to live it to get to an enviable position, is in the hand of your Creator, if you will hearken to His instruction as it comes your way daily. I hope you know that, no creature knows more than his Creator, it will be suicidal to think that way. Those who tried it in the Bible ended their lives abruptly in a tragic way. He who created you has the best thoughts and plan for your life of course. If this is true, the best thing for anyone to do is never to celebrate his own thoughts above the thoughts of God. It is common among human beings to work on facts.
We tend to be realistic about issues and events based on what is feasible and visible. The conclusion of common people is that common sense should have told us what and what to do, to say and so on. I’ll like to tell you that, over times, experience and sense of men have failed them. That tells us that our common sense is limited and prone to errors. In fact, our common sense can make us doubt God and a doubtful mind can never receive anything good from above. Beyond our common sense is “divine sense.” Rather than relying on our ability to put two and two together to make four, why don’t we allow God to give us direction over affairs of our lives. If we can allow God to interfere and intervene in our issues, laudable results and testimonies will be our portion, and we won’t become victim of our own errors. Be wise and be sensitive!
