DON’T FALL FROM GRACE TO GRASS THROUGH COMPLACENCY (Friday, 23rd January 2026)

Text for Today: 2 Sam. 9:1-13 “Then King David sent and brought him out of the house of Machir the son of Ammiel, from LoDebar”. (vs. 5).

For as long as a man is still alive, his story can still experience a turnaround, according to our focus in Covenant Champions family for this year. However, it’s a thing of shame and ridicule if a man falls from grace to grass in the journey of life. When such a thing happens, it is always extremely difficult to get back to one’s feet if possible at all. Every man on earth occupies a space per time. Just as you are privileged to be reading this devotional today, you are at a particular level of your life. However, the issue is this, wherever a man occupies per time could either make him joyful or miserable. It could either bring glory to the name of God or otherwise. It could either cause men to rejoice with you or make them to pity you.

I decree into your life today that, any position you are presently that does not glorify God shall receive a divine turnaround in the name of Jesus. You shall no longer be pitied; rather you shall be envied in Jesus’ name. From our text for today, a young man who had a brilliant and fascinating background suddenly found himself in a terrible state by virtue of some happenings in his family. I am talking about Mephiboseth, who found himself in LoDebar, a land of emptiness instead of “A Palace filled with splendor. This young man could have said to have fallen from grace to grass. Everything about this young man’s life was a reversal of things he once enjoyed. I decree today that any power that wants you to become a shadow of your true self shall be judged by fire. However, after so many years, heaven remembered him and restored him back.

You are a Champion!

Further Study: Gen. 41:1-14.

Covenant Prayers

  1. Father, I thank you for all you have perfected to do in my life.
  2. I curse any power that wants me to fall from grace to grass.
  3. My expectation for a turnaround in 2026 shall not fail.
  4. Father, restore back to me whatever I’ve lost in time past.

QUOTE: “YOU REMAIN A SHADOW OF YOUR TRUE SELF UNTIL YOU’RE REMEMBERED BY GOD”.
