The Renewed Mind Is The Canvas On Which The Spirit Of God Can Paint
Text for Today: Rom. 12:1-8 “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind..” (vs. 2).
Having a renewed mind is often not an issue of whether or not someone is going to heaven, but of how much of heaven he or she wants in his or her life right now. The ability of the human mind to process thoughts is the most intricate of all the gifts and abilities of man.
Having a mind of your own is what makes man to be the apogee of God’s creation. The Bible calls us the crown of God’s creation because of the ability to think and convert thoughts to action.
It is this intricacy of the mind that makes Solomon to instruct us to pay close attention to the mind, to be watchful of what fills a mind. Prov. 4:23 says, “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.”
If a man will be defeated in life, it all starts from the mind. Courage is also a thing of the mind. The mind is so important to the extent that even at death, a man’s will has to clearly indicate that it was written at a time when he was of a sound mind.
The words “mind” and “heart” are used interchangeably in the Bible, particularly in the Old Testament. However, the mind is the centre of human activity.
Again we reiterate that the human mind is the most amazing phenomena in the life of a man. The power of the human mind is one of the most underestimated.
It is argued that even the best of men only use 30% of their mind. Whatever the human mind conceives can be achieved.
The future is either paralyzed or energized by the thoughts that go through the mind. Life moves in the direction of our greatest thoughts. We cannot be divorced from the consequences of our thoughts.
You are a Champion!
