DON’T LOOK FOR A GOOD RELATIONSHIP, LOOK FOR A GODLY RELATIONSHIP (Monday, 29th June 2026)

Text for Today: Daniel 11:29-35 “…but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits.”(vs. 32).

The greatest comfort in this life is having a close relationship with God. God longs for a close, intimate and personal relationship with each one of us, it’s up to us to choose if we will develop that closeness or not. Who you know determines what accompanies you in life. The purpose of prayer is not only to receive what you asked for, but to strengthen your relationship with God. Don’t look for a good relationship, look for a Godly relationship. When God is given priority everything else falls into place. Your knowledge of God and the kind of relationship you have with Him, will determine your height in life.

One of the covenant keys that made Abraham and Daniel to stand out among the fathers of faith was a strong and deep relationship they had with God. The deeper you go with God, the more exploits you experience in life. Daniel was a man who understood the power of having an intimate, vibrant and consistent relationship with the Lord. Beloved, I want you to know that, loving the world destroys our relationship with God, and it affects our future with God negatively. Nothing is big enough for you to trade your relationship with God away. Seeking happiness apart from a right relationship with God is like trying to turn on a light that’s unplugged. Trials always change our relationship with God. Either they drive us to Him, or they drive us away from Him. The extent of our fear of Him and our awareness of His love for us will determine in which direction we will move. Be close to Him!

You are a Champion!

Further Study: Gen. 12:1-8.

Covenant Prayers

  1. Father, I thank you for the privilege of knowing you.
  2. Lord, give me grace to set time aside to commune with you daily.
  3. Lord, I desire to know you more and more.
  4. Father, as I commune with you, show me the path to greatness.
