DON’T TURN YOUR BACK AT COVENANT PRINCIPLES (Wednesday, 16th September 2026)

Text for Today: Gen. 26:2-14 “Then Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold, and the LORD blessed him.” (vs, 12).

It is an act of foolishness to turn your back at a covenant principle that has worked from generation to generation, and is still blessing many more. According to Gen. 8:22, the covenant principle of seedtime and harvest time will never cease. Those who align with this law will forever continue to enjoy the covenant blessings associated with it, while those who ignore it cannot partake of it. There are seeds and there are fruits. Seeds are meant to be sown while fruits are meant for harvest and eating. Seeds are meant for the future while fruits are meant for today.

A wise person will never convert the seed meant to give you a tomorrow into a fruit that will sustain you for only today. If you eat your seed today, you will groan and die of hunger tomorrow. Many are lamenting and are living in poverty today because of lack of wisdom in handling the seed God gave them yesterday. If Isaac had consumed the seed he sowed from our text for today, there would be nothing for God to bless and he wouldn’t have become prosperous as the Bible gave the account. Each time a seed proceeds from your life, you give God responsibility to bless you again and again. While others were eating, Isaac was busy planting his seeds. No matter how tight things might be for you, you must learn to always sow seeds. Except you want the flow of God into your life to cease, that is when you should stop sowing. If you sow nothing you will reap nothing. I pray for you today that, as you continue to sow good seeds you will not miss your harvest in Jesus name.

You are a Champion!

Further Study: 2 Kings 4:8-32.

Covenant Prayers

  1. Father, I thank you for all you have done for me since January.
  2. Lord, grant me grace not to eat the seed that will give me a future.
  3. I receive grace to sow good seeds into your kingdom always.
  4. My seed will open the next chapter of my life for me.
