Things to note:
- Everyone wants to be rich but not everyone is committed to good works.
- Many people love the promises but not many people are ready to pay the price.
Why you should do good works
1. Let us not become weary in doing good. (Galatians 6:9)
2. We are created for good works. (Ephesians 2:10)
- When you are saved, you must be committed to good works.
3. It is the Lord you are serving when you do good works. (Colossians 3:23-24)
4. We must be rich in good deeds. (1 Timothy 6:17-18)
- Not only in material things. Not only in possessions.
- If you are not rich in good deed, you are a poor man.
5. We must spur one another on to good deeds. (Hebrews 10:24)
6. Do not forget to do good works. (Hebrews 13:16)
What type of good works should we engage in:
1. Diligence in the place of your assignment. (Galatians 6:9)
- Prayer can’t take the place of diligence.
- Being diligent is a good work.
2. Obedience to God and His word.
3. Helping others to fulfil their purpose in life.
4. Commitment to building God’s kingdom.
5. Be committed to praising God.
– Giving thanks is a good work.
