Nothing In This World Can Take The Place Of Persistence
Text for Today: 2 Cor. 4:7-15 “We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair.” (vs. 8).
Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent.
Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts.
Beloved, I want you to know that persistence and determination are alone in their world and nothing can replace them. A man who believes in his dream is always known when he goes through difficulties without giving up.
Never claim to be strong until you go through trials and challenges of life. The true test of your faith is when you go through some issues yet not discouraged.
From our text for today, Apostle Paul influenced many people during his time in prison. There he wrote four letters of hope and encouragement to the Philippians, Ephesians, Colossians and Philemon.
Paul knew the prison that held him could not chain the Gospel which breaks the prison of sin, shatters the gates of hell, and opens locked hearts. I like you to know that, there is no situation of life you find yourself that should stop you from moving ahead with your dream.
If you dare stop, you are a failure. I charge you to believe in yourself and you will be unstoppable. Despite all that Joseph went through in the hands of his brothers and later from Mrs. Potiphar, he refused to let go of his dream.
That was another case study of being hard pressed yet not crushed. There’s always a goldmine waiting ahead for a man who will keep moving irrespective of what tries to stop him.
